Trichomoniasis, also known as “Trich” in short, is one of the most common STDs caused by the parasite infection that can be totally cured using necessary medications. People who are infected with Trichomoniasis do not show any symptoms, in the initial stage. At a later stage, infected persons might notice irritation and itching, smelly discharge, and painful or frequent urinating. As the disease progresses, the infection affects the vagina, anus, penis, urethra, throat and also eyes.

Due to no symptoms, people affected with Trichomoniasis are not aware of their infection. Hence, there is a possibility of spreading it to another person through vaginal, oral & anal sex. Safe sex methods such as condoms or dental dams can help from preventing Syphilis. It is also transferred to the baby of the pregnant woman, who is infected by it. However, Syphilis does not spread through casual contact with the affected person such as touching, hugging, kissing, coughing, sneezing, sharing food or clothing and using toilets.
